Our shared goal is simple — to raise Border Collies who not only excel in sport but also bring endless joy as loyal companions.
About Sandra
From a young age, animals have always been a central part of my life. My childhood home was full of pets — guinea pigs, rabbits, mice, gerbils, fish, and our beloved lurcher, Tina. No matter how small, each one left a lasting impression. Tina, in particular, sparked my fascination with agility and dogs capable of athletic brilliance. I taught her to jump over cushions in the house and balance along walls on our walks — not knowing it was the beginning of a lifelong passion.
When I left home at 21, I welcomed my first dog of my own — a Doberman named Kai. She taught me more than I could have imagined about patience, training, and understanding. Through Kai, I discovered the importance of structure, genetics, and balance — the foundations that would later define the Darleyfalls line.
My journey into agility deepened when I brought home my first Border Collie, Flynntastic Flo. She may not have had perfect markings, but she had everything that truly mattered: heart, drive, and an incredible work ethic. Flo became the cornerstone of Darleyfalls and the foundation of every generation that followed.
Born in 2001, Flo’s legacy continues to shape the Darleyfalls line. Nearly two decades later, my focus remains unchanged — quality over quantity. Every pairing is planned with care, producing world-class sports dogs raised in a nurturing, structured environment.
About Laura & Helen
My journey with dogs began when I was just 14 years old, working in rescue. After my family adopted our first Collie, I quickly realised I was a Collie girl through and through. I spent eight years working full-time in rescue after leaving school, learning from countless breeds and temperaments. Later, I spent 11 years at a veterinary animal hospital, where I gained invaluable knowledge about canine health and wellbeing.
Alongside my partner, Helen, we’ve fostered over 400 rescue dogs and whelped around 30 rescue bitches and their pups. These experiences have made whelping and raising puppies second nature to us — something we truly love and take great pride in.
At 18, I discovered agility through our family terrier, and I was instantly hooked. Over a decade ago, I met my first Darleyfalls puppy, Stig, at Dashin Dogs Agility Show. Even as a baby, her balance, build, and athleticism stood out — I was captivated. That moment began my love for the Darleyfalls line.
Years later, I became close friends with Sandra and had the privilege of training and competing with two of her Darleyfalls in agility — exhilarating, edge-of-your-seat experiences! When the time came for one of them to have a litter, Sandra offered me the opportunity to co-own a female puppy — an honour I’ll never forget. Since then, Helen and I have become proud co-owners of several Darleyfalls girls.
The Darleyfalls line is everything we could wish for in a dog — calm and gentle companions at home, yet powerful and focused athletes in sport. Working alongside Sandra has deepened my appreciation for structure, movement, and pairing the right dogs for future generations. I’m passionate about continually improving how we raise our puppies, ensuring every Darleyfalls pup has the best possible start in life and carries forward the strength, balance, and brilliance this line is known for.
